1cup lentils
1 large onion
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp red pepper paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp dry parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2tsp black pepper
1/2tsp red pepper
2 tbsp oil
6 cups water
Direction
1- Chop the onion into small pieces.
2- In a large pot, add oil, tomato paste, pepper paste, and onion and saute together over medium heat, stirring often.
3-Stir in red lentils with 4 cups of water , and cook 10 minutes.
4- Pour mixture into blender or use a hand mixer to blend it thoroughly.
5-Add salt, spices, parsley, lemon juice, and remaining 2 cups of water, and cook for 10 more minutes.
Serve it hot or warm, with fresh bread.
