White Cream Cake with Fruit Topping ( Meyveli Pasta)

October 1 is my husband's birthday. Last year, I made a big birthday cake for him and I invited his students to our house. There were balloons and many different types of Turkish food. Unfortunately, this year I can't make anything special for my husband because that day we are moving to another apartment. So I just bought a birthday cake from Publix. :)

White Cream Cake with Fruit Topping

INGREDIENTS

Cake:

1 package white cake mix
1 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs

Cream filling:
4 c. milk
2 T. starch
2 T. flour
1 c. sugar

Garnish:
Whipped cream
Strawberries, bananas, and kiwi, sliced

DIRECTIONS

1-Combine cake mix, water, oil, and eggs in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds then on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally. Pour into a baking pan and follow the cooking directions on the box.

2-While the cake is cooking, prepare the filling by combining all the cream ingredients in a pot, and bringing the mixture to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

3-After the cake has cooled, slice it lengthwise into equal halves.
4-Spread the cooled cream filling over it, along with slices of fresh kiwi.
5- Layer the other half of the cake on top, then cover the entire cake with whipped cream.
6-Decorate the cake with fruit slices, as in the pictures below.

Afiyet olsun!
